Coming up in February we have National Freedom Day, Presidents Day and of course, for the romantic in us, Valentines Day

 “I miss the 90’s when bread was still good for you and no one knew what kale was.”

Game night on the 22^nd of January found four tables ready to play, with five at each table and two at another. Most played two rounds of 3/14. One table played U-NO. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and the tasty halftime treats.

Note: Next game night will be February 5. Come join us for a fun get-away from television. You will enjoy yourself.

The four o’clock partakers of hors d’oeuvres and canapés were enjoying themselves long before the dinner crowd arrived. It is easy to fill up on these appetizer delights.

There were several homemade soups on the menu; all done by Las Alegres super duper soup makers! Breads, salads, desserts and drinks made it a very filling meal.

Terry Cardott won the 50/50 drawing and shared half with the Social Club.

For entertainment, there was a “Murder Mystery;” a skit involving several of our resident actors.

The victim in this ‘who done it’ was identified in the beginning as the ghost. The twelve ‘actors’  were challenged to identify the murderer, and the motive. No one guessed both. Joanne and Karol guessed the murderer only. Karol won the tiebreaker draw for the $25 cash prize.

January 4 breakfast was cancelled due to lack of volunteers.

February breakfast will be served up by Lester Yoos and his golf buddies. Hope to see you there!
